COAS Gen Asim Munir Calls on Youth to Embrace Self-Responsibility, Reject Divisive Narratives, and Champion National Progress

In a clear message, General Syed Asim Munir has called on Pakistan's youth to take an active role in nation-building by prioritizing their roles and not being blindsided by negative feedback. The army chief, while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the CMH Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) in Bahawalpur, Punjab, told how "the future is depends on our accountability," state-run Radio Pakistan reported.

Speaking to students from all levels of education, Gen Munir said it is important to focus on academic excellence and skill development to make a meaningful contribution to the progress of Pakistan. His comments were emphasized by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) spokesperson, who stated that the military continues to work towards developing youth talent and innovation. Students were hailed as the future architects of Pakistan by the COAS, who also highlighted the importance of military contributions to educational and technological advancements. The statement was made on behalf of the college students.

The army chief's comments come amid growing concerns that disinformation campaigns target state institutions.The. The use of social media to create chaos and spread lies and deceit, particularly those aimed at dismantling the military, was prohibited by Gen Munir. According to him, the strategies are a part of an organized illicit network that supports terrorist activities and undermines national security. He stated that whenever the state acts against these elements, they create malicious stories intended for stability, and committed to dismantling networks that endangered Pakistan's well-being.

Gen Munir has spoken to youth before. He emphasized the importance of practicing "Pakistaniat" during an interaction with students in Rawalpindi last month, emphasizing the significance of unity and cultural pride. He reiterated that Pakistan's strength is based on the sacrifice of its mothers and the unwavering support of young people towards state institutions. "This bond cannot be broken by any external force or internal one," he said.

The ISPR emphasized the COAS's focus on addressing economic and security issues related to illegal activities. December saw the military issue a warning of political interference in networks that engage with resource pilferage and economic sabotage. In his speech last week, Gen Munir reiterated this determination, stating that the Pakistan Army's readiness for new threats is still dependent on rigorous training and modernization.

Innovista Cholistan, an IT innovation center and an Integrated Combat Simulator Arena designed to improve military readiness, was opened by the army chief during his visit to Bahawalpur. The projects aim to merge education and defense capabilities by equipping youth with cutting-edge skills and improving their combat readiness. These initiatives are part of a larger theme.

At Bahawalpur Cantonment, Gen Munir spoke about the troops' dedication and emphasized the need for ongoing training to overcome modern warfare challenges. He labeled the cantonment's initiatives as "first steps" in bringing Pakistan to parity with international norms for defense.

The COAS presented Pakistan as a "divine trust" with abundant resources and resilient people, concluding their speech. Afghanistan was no exception.
